Every season has its blessings. We had an extended season of maple syrup-ing, and now the cool, dampness of spring brings us a longer leek season.  Even though we crave those warmer days the coolness allows us to enter the Summer months gracefully. We are highlighting the alliums on this week’s menu: Shallot scallions in the risotto, fresh wild leeks in the pesto and the chic peas, and freshly picked French sorrel from the back yard. How’s that for a nod to Spring?

Plow Break, Blue Heron, Muddy Fingers, Stick-n-Stone, and Remembrance Farms are just some of the local farms whose produce is featured in this meal.

Look forward to seeing you on Saturday!

Bean and ricely yours,

The Macro Mama
