This week we are celebrating the little-known but all-important holiday that falls on May 14: the last average frost date for Ithaca, NY! The weather may be chilly, but we know this fickle spring is almost over. In the meantime, we'll have a meal with warm flavors to keep you toasty down at Steamboat Landing on Saturday. 

Oh, of course, there's another holiday to celebrate this weekend -- Mother's Day!

In honor of these spring holidays, we're serving asparagus in a spring-green sauce; a bright, crunchy pressed cabbage salad incorporating tangy sorrel and refreshing mint from our garden; and several other delectable dishes. 

We'll also have a full array of desserts if you want to treat your mother to something nourishing and delicious, including a tangerine upside-down cake with orange glaze...cardamom tiramisu trifles...and (gluten-free) hazelnut-coconut brownies with chocolate ganache. Delicious!
