That's right, folks: tomorrow is the very last market day of 2015 for the Macro Mamas! We have had a long and fabulous season, transformed countless local vegetables into scrumptious dishes, formed lasting bonds with our crew members, and jammed to many a reggae hour. Our market family has grown and so has our capacity to help meet the needs of our community. 

With that in mind, we would like to announce that the unused funds from our Nourish Your Neighbor program (Remember that? We hope to reimagine a more effective system for 2016, so stay tuned.) will be donated to two amazing local efforts: 1. Healthy Food for All, which works to increase food access in our region by providing subsidized CSAs to low-income families and 2. The Advocacy Center, which provides pro bono support and education to victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse. A huge thank you to all who contributed!

For our last meal, we're spicing things up with pumpkin mole, flame-roasted peppers and local tomatillo sauce. Alongside brilliant rainbow chard from Blue Heron Farm and roasted roots from Stick and Stone Farm, these dishes should suit the bizarrely warm day just fine. We'll see you at market!
